Safe at Home

My husband is a huge baseball fan.
He played little league through College.

The only year he missed, as far as I know, is the year he took off when his dad had a life threatening injury and he was needed to help keep the family business running.

The most exciting part of a baseball game may be

when the fielder, the catcher and the runner
are in a battle for home plate.

Running.
Fielding.
Catching.
All different actions.
The common goal is to have superior position at the plate.

The runner wants to be safe at home.
He pushes with all he has to get there.
The goal of the fielder and catcher is to keep home safe from the runner.
Their energy is spent to protect the plate.

Safe at home.
This is something we all want in our "real" lives.

Home should be the place we can run to safely, as is the goal of the offense.
Home should be the place that we protect, as the defense does.

Safe at home.
That is my goal.
For myself and for my family.
