recap of why it's been a month
Monday September 24 was my last post. Contrary to what you may have been thinking, there was not a catastrophe in my life, I did not become a hermit and drop out of civilization nor did I run out of words or thoughts to share.
I've just been busy living. Investing in relationships and making judgment calls along the way on how best to do that.
Attending practices, recruit lunches and soccer matches for two teams.
Driving to Tallmadge Ohio to attend calling hours for a dear friend, staying overnight with my sweet mother-in-law and hustling home the next morning so I could prepare for family coming to visit and attend festivities of KCU's Homecoming weekend which included the Flagpole dedication.
Waiting patiently to welcome my newest grandson to our world.
A day and a half at home before heading to Russell Springs Kentucky for three days where I attended my first Gala, a fundraiser for Noell and Korah's competitive cheer team.
Sarah, me, Elizabeth
Willow, me, Noell
Kourtney, Korah, Addyston, Cristian

So many different events.
So many different people.
So many different emotions.
So many layers to living life well.
So why have I not chronicled along the way?
I chose, for the first time, to leave my computer home as I traveled.
I wanted to focus on face to face time rather than be distracted by screen time.
I've missed this therapy.
But I am afraid I would have missed more important things if I'd been writing...
There are so many more words longing to be shared but they are jumbled.
Tangled.
Stuck.
And there is more life to be lived well tomorrow.
To do that I must have adequate rest, another thing I am focusing on.
The remaining words will have to wait for another time.
