God uses four letter words
I had a fun weekend. I spent Friday evening with Beth and her family in Cincinnati, drove up to Indiana Saturday to watch one of my sons do his work as Defensive Coordinator at Anderson University, had supper with Tyrone, Shiloh and Payton and left their house intending to drive home. As I was listening to Siri direct me I realized I would be within minutes of Beth's. Friday evening's fun flashed through my mind. I decided to stop for a cup of tea and another round of hugs. Hannah was making a pumpkin roll. She bribed me with it and convinced me to spend the night. Cristian, Addi and I played a game they dubbed trashket (rhymes with basket) ball. I had a great weekend! So I was surprised as I drove home this morning that I started thinking about the four letter word that I struggle with every time I hear God speak it into my life.
Wait
As I mulled over that particular word, wondering what I was supposed to wait on this time, I noticed a sign on the AA that I have passed countless times. Kincaide Lake State Park. I had an urge to check it out. But I didn't have time. I had to get back to Grayson for a funeral and I needed to unload the car and take a shower before I went. I drove past the road that would take me to Lake Kincaide... and ended up slowing at the next road, doing a U Turn and going back. That hour detour influenced my thoughts. I snapped some photos. As I resumed my drive home I made a list of other four letter words God has spoken into my life. As the number increased I had a strong feeling I need to share my list with you and not expound on them, but to ask you to share if God is speaking any of them into your life.
