Birds of a feather...

I am fine.
I really am.
But the morning began with a couple of unexpected, rather large hiccups.
Gray clouds blanketed the sky.
I spent time alone with Jesus, (it's best for everyone when I do that.)
I moved to the family room to do my back stretches and looked out of the large picture window, toward the lilac, smiling as I thought about the little busy bee friends that have joined me recently enjoying the bonus blooms that are now spent. I sat in my chair, daydreaming about spring, new flowers and a sudden movement caught my attention. A small, brown feathered friend was perched on a branch. My heart smiled, real big, as a few thoughts popped into my head, especially when my new single friend was joined by several more birds. A small flock ended up sitting there until Lady dog meandered over and startled them.

"Birds of a feather flock together."
I am thankful for like minded friends and family who encourage me to grow in Jesus.

"His eye is on the sparrow, I know He watches me."
God sees me. He loves me. He provides for me. I have no need to allow worry to nest in my mind.

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?"
Matthew 6: 25-27

"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." Luke 12:6-7
