Temper tantrums.
You know,
that foot stomping,
pouting,
raising the voice when speaking,
eye rolling,
out of control
behavior that occurs.

Temper tantrums
always make me uncomfortable.

Temper tantrums
are embarrassing.
For everyone involved.

Temper tantrums.
I thought I had outgrown
my involvement in them.
My children are all grown up now.

Temper tantrums.
I had one
in my doctors office the other day.
I shared some concerns.
He had a solution.
He said I wouldn't like it.
And right there in the hall
I rolled my eyes,
stomped my foot
and said,
"I won't..."

How embarrassing!
especially since I know
I will see him again!
