family beach vacation-the other side of the story

 

the forecast was rain, all day

so the sun peaking through this afternoon has been an unexpected gift

almost like hearing "Happy Birthday Beth and Sarah", love God

this week has had some very wonderful moments

and I have freely shared them,

just like most people do

because we want others to see the beauty in our lives

but that is only part of the story

there have also been some not so pleasant moments

sand,

everywhere,

including the bed

sunburns

thunder 

lightening 

rain 

keeping us off the beach

upset tummies from traveling and eating differently

moments of "intense fellowship" (some people call them arguments)

a rear wheel bearing going out that needed replaced before we head back

how will I remember this week?

the choice is mine

I can focus on what was challenging

or I can bring to mind the positive things

even the storms offered unparalleled beauty when we made time to look
