time well spent

I heard about a Ladies event in Frankfurt this weekend. I thought about going, but quickly put that rogue idea-of going somewhere new, by myself- to rest.Then a new(ish) friend mentioned she and another new(ish) friend and Anita were planning to go. I registered for the event. I am so glad I did. The Friday night session at Capitol City Church with a room full of women was good. Sharing group time with our table of six ladies was good. Being paired with a stranger to share a prayer need and praying for her was special. But the best part of the night was, hands down, investing in my friendships with Kim and Renee. I've not had the kind of time with them where you can chat and laugh and listen and share stories of life before we knew each other. I might be tired and dragging Saturday, but given the opportunity I'd make the same choice of how to spend this evening and early morning. It has been time very well spent. (We missed Anita-she had something else come up and couldn't come.)
