paper chain countdown

I had something exciting to share with Deborah this morning. I texted to see if she was available for a quick call. She was and within five minutes we were visiting. It amazes me still, that even though she lives 5,000 plus miles away, because of technology I can not only talk to her, but see her face! She had something exciting to share with me as well. They have purchased plane tickets and will be stateside for almost three months this summer. 

Abigail and Selah made a paper chain to countdown the days until departure. To say we are all excited would be a huge understatement. Abigail and Selah told me one of the things they are looking forward to is mowing my yard for me the whole time they are here. Their Papa taught them how when they were in two years ago and they enjoy everything about it except cleaning up dog poo. I assured them there will be plenty of opportunities to mow. I have a battery powered weed eater and blower now so I imagine David will teach them how to properly use those tools as well. This evening could have used their help to tame the jungle that grew while I was at the beach.
