worth the climb

it's been two and a half weeks since I climbed these stairs

to be honest,

until today it looked about as daunting as Mount Everest

but,

at the top of them

and down the hall,

with two slight right turns,

lay a prize worth working for

so after my afternoon/early evening nap, 

I took one step at a time,

with Sarah close behind me

it's amazing how much difference a shower makes!

thankful I had you, 

but goodbye adult washcloth wipes,

welcome back into my life, 

soap and water in the shower
