rest

I have been resting this week of vacation.

Thinking about rest sent me to my Bible concordance.

I found out that rest is one of those words that is a noun:

rest (n)-tranquility

"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

In the midst of my busyness and struggles, Jesus invites me to go to Him for rest- tranquility.

and a verb:

rest (v)-settled

"Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him..." Psalm 37:7

Rest- be settled- in the Lord. When I am settled in Him, waiting patiently for Him is not an issue.

I am going to spend some time examining my life and asking God to show me where I am not practicing rest in my life.
