bunkies
Today one of my priorities was to find Bunkies (bunk bed mattresses) for the babies I wrote about yesterday. I had two places in mind.
I walked into the store and talked to Salesman One. He checked his computer and said they sold for $149 but he could give them to me for $99.
While waiting for an opportunity to go to place two I remembered another place I could check, so I called.
Salesman Two looked at his computer and said he would give them to me at cost, he would not charge me freight and if I had a tax exempt number (church) he could waive the taxes. This translated into paying $62 a piece. He is also going to deliver them for me/with me on Monday.
The difference?
Salesman One is an employee for a chain of stores.
Salesman Two is part of the family who owns the store.
I never even bothered with my original number two.
I am reminded of the need to keep an open mind. God often has a much better plan than the one I think of on my own!
