grandchildren

I get to spend this week with my two oldest grand children,
Beth's daughters, Hannah- 10, and Chloe- 7.
(I was not brave enough to keep baby Cristian too.)

There have been more words spoken in my home in the last three days than there have been in the last three months combined :)

"What are we going to do this week ?"
"Grandma, can we..."

"Why can't I...?"

"Look at what I made."

"Sorry I did crafts in here."
"Hurry, if we get this cleaned up Grandpa can read us a book before bed."
"You have to choose from one of these-it's tradition." (From Hannah to Chloe.)
"Thanks for letting us have fun today" accompanied by a hug and kiss.
It is that last statement that has me thinking.

When was the last time I stopped at the end of the day and said,
"Father, thanks for letting me have fun today?"
