Sunday morning musing

I don't write first thing in the morning.
Until today.
Last night I was physically exhausted,
so rather than write,
I did the right thing and went to sleep.

I woke up early,
time enough for breakfast,
sitting with Jesus,
walking with God
and three reminders while walking.

Just because I can't clearly see the Artist doesn't mean He isn't working,
making something beautiful whether people pay attention or not.

There is no wrong time to trust God. Even when-no, especially when- it is not easy. Taking time to pick up reminders that "In God I trust", even if I don't have pockets and have to carry the prompts in my hand for a mile or more, makes complete sense. (also 7 cents? More about that below.)

Sometimes life runs over you. Multiple times. It's too late for this squirrel, but as long as God gives me breath, there is an eternal purpose God is working and He allows me to be part of it. So, even though life doesn't look like it used to, there is value in continuing to look for and take the next step.

I am praying that your day includes time alone with God and a lesson or reminder or experience that deepens your relationship with Him.

The significance of 7

God rested on the 7th day.

Philippians 1:3-6 "I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

Thank you christianity.com for the following concise explaination of thoughts that ran through my head:

"Numbers in Biblical times were often symbolic of a deeper meaning. The number seven is especially prominent in Scripture, appearing over 700 times. From the seven days of Creation to the many “sevens” in Revelation, the number seven connotes such concepts as completion and perfection, exoneration and healing, and the fulfillment of promises and oaths."
