celebrating life

today we are celebrating the day this man was born

without him, 

my life would be completely different,

most obviously, 

I would not have any of these precious gifts

reminders of what love and commitment look like

so rather than mourn that he isn't here,

we choose to be thankful for his life

and we will play on the lake,

eat neapolitan ice cream for dessert after lunch

and tonight,

 enjoy the firepit,

 complete with s'mores 

a life well lived 

is worth celebrating
