20/366 Sonshine

"Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him."
Psalm 127:3
Born of my womb or my heart,
once my child,
forever my child.

When any of my children stop by for a visit, planned or as a surprise, long or short, this momma's heart is full and happy. I'm thankful for hours we spent together. Nights of homework at the dining room table, planned Monday evening dinners, spontaneous dance parties in front of the 65 inch TV and spur of the moment meals or snacks. Those were wonderful times.

The way of nature, and what I pray for my kids, is that they will mature, graduate, move on, begin careers and start their own families if they that is what they want, even knowing I will miss having regular face to face contact with them.

It is a priceless gift when my kids can carve out time to come home. I love you Charles and Caleb. Thank you for bringing some much welcomed sonshine to my day.

(I love the rest of y'all too. Please feel free to stop when you can. And if you let me know ahead of time, I might be persuaded to cook you a meal. Love, mommaD.)
