arguing with God 112/366
do you ever find yourself arguing with God?
or questioning Him?
or disagreeing with His methods or timing?
I do.
I never win, but I feel better after I get "it" all out there
when I freely express:
my confusion
my frustration
my anger
my pain
my difference of opinion
my reluctance
my fears
my concern
my perspective
I do so knowing I am safe with Him
knowing I don't have to agree with
or understand
the what
or how
or why
to know that He loves me, lavishly
to know that He cares and is compassionate
to know that He sees me and He sees the big picture
to know that He is not frightened or angered by my honesty
the last few days have held some of that
and tonight,
after all is said and done,
it is refreshing to not be burdened with trying to hide what He sees anyway
I am thankful to be in this intimate relationship with God,
to know that I can bring any and everything to Him
because I am His and He is mine
From Romans 8:
"28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose... 35 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
