hell, no you can't, not without a fight 119/366

I watched this clip the other day
and have been "fired up" since then.
Today especially, 
after seeing and hearing about more battles people I love are facing,
I have thought "hell, no you can't, not today, not without a fight".

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 1 Peter 5:8-9

Fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, 
be alert.
When the enemy roars, 
announcing his presence, 
trying to scare you,
resist him,
by standing firm in your faith.
Remind him of Whose you are.
Remember you are not in this battle alone.

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." 
Galatians 6:2

Satan, you and your angels, 
take note, 
I am aware that you are busy working.
But know this as you work,
I refuse to sit back and be idle.
Even if I am not personally invited to fight alongside,
that will not keep me from being involved.
Some people don't know who to ask,
some are too proud to ask,
some are too weary to ask.
I will stand in the gap.

“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one." Ezekiel 22:30

Devil, I cannot keep you from attacking
me
my family
my friends
my acquaintances
my church, 
not strangers,
not even my enemies
but I do not have to sit or stand idly by,
helplessly wringing my hands
no, I am going to fight.

Satan, devil, enemy, 
whatever name you want to go by
we are not yours simply for the taking.
As Priscilla so eloquently said:
"If it's a war you want, it's a war you gonna have".
Brothers and sisters, we are better together.
Who will stand with me?

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people."
