An afternoon out with Deborah and Moriah

Today we visited three new places...

Corner House Coffee Shop is managed by a sweet young lady who is part of the church Deborah and David gather with.

We had some delicious fruit flavored tea from Germany and even sweeter fellowship. Kailey is able to carry on adult conversation AND play a card game with Moriah!

Tbilisi McDonalds looks a little different from the one in Grayson...
But the fries and Happy Meal are about the same.
If you have never seen or had a Chimney Cake you will understand the look of amazement on my face after I share the picture that shows the top of the finished project and I tell you the process and ingredients

A yeast dough is rolled out into a rope, then wrapped around a wooden, cone shaped form.
It is brushed with melted butter, rolled in sugar, then placed in an oven when it is ordered, so each one is fresh and warm.

When it's golden brown it's removed and rolled into cinnamon sugar, placed into a cup and then filled with your choice of yumminess. Moriah chose the inside to be covered in chocolate, filled with fresh strawberries then soft serve ice cream overtop the berries, with mini candies, (she chose m&m's chocolate chips and heart shaped  candies) followed by a sprinkling of golden edible glitter.

Another fun experience.
(Moriah's eyes and smile tell you all you need to know about her opinion of Chimney Cakes.)
