another day, another adventure

Today was different.

Another beautiful day for a walk, but my body is tired so our trek was a shorter one, but far from uneventful.

The first stop was a second hand store with a large selection of beautiful glass and china. There were some amazing old, wooden wardrobes. I opened one and was scolded. In Georgian. I am not sure if what was inside wasn't for sale or if was taboo to open it, but I quickly closed it and walked away.

Deborah showed me the school the church here met in for 5 months.

We visited a modern Georgian bookstore I will more than likely return to.

We were just blocks away from the apartment when behind us we heard a loud thud, a scream and screeching brakes.
We quickly turned to see a woman run into the street.
Thankfully, just as quickly, we saw a little girl stand and the mother pick her up, holding her tightly to her chest, apparently without any serious injury we could see from where we were standing across the street.

A little farther down the street we were surprised to see a man carrying electrical wire in his arms.
Behind him was one carrying sawhorses.
Then the conduit guy,
followed by the one in charge of the spool.
We stopped at one store and Deborah bought spaghetti sauce.
I bought my own snack.
You can't go wrong with a Coke and chocolate.
My favorite here has been Alpen Gold dark, but today I wanted to try Georgian chocolate.

A stop at the apothecary for two small gifts I saw from the sidewalk and upon closer inspection couldn't pass up.

A stop at the Turkish store for peanut butter and tortillas.

Shopping, even for necessities, is definitely an adventure here.
