The Ferris Wheel

I took this photo from the window in Abigail's room my first morning in Georgia.

Same view this morning...

and tonight.
I knew the Ferris Wheel that is lit up like a kaleidoscope was on that hill from conversations I'd had with the Markey family while we were still in America. If I was sitting with you I could help you find it in the first picture because I know where to look. With the fog so heavy this morning there was no way I could see it, but I had no doubt it was there.

I had seen it on days that were just a little hazy,

as fog was lifting,

and on a clear evening.

I got to thinking about when my children were toddlers, at the age where if they covered their eyes they thought I couldn't see them. Just because something is hidden it doesn't mean it's disappeared.

Today I used this as a reminder to not let appearances or temporary circumstances make me question or walk away from or deny what I know to be true.
