Family Dinner Date

David surprised us and took us to supper at the Turkish Restaurant near their apartment tonight. I have heard that a picture is worth a thousand words, so I am not going to try and fully describe the experience with simply writing.

Hearty bread.

Chewy.

No need to put anything on it.

                                                     Salad. 

Tomatoes, cucumber, cilantro, light dressing, fresh lemon.

Refreshing.

Meat tray.

Lamb, chunks of marinated chicken breast, wings, steak, beef roll.

Rice, roasted tomatoes.

Fresh onion, tomato and lettuce.

So tasty.

We didn't order it, but we also didn't refuse this cake.

Rich, dense, with a hint of lemon.

Perfection.

 Turkish tea.

Sugar cubes to sweeten it took me back to childhood.

What a fun, and filling, meal.
