life changes
As I sit and listen to the quiet that fills my home I realize the lack of noise is more than the absence of people. It includes the knowledge that no one is in transition. There is no need to be busy making plans to to get their old room (and more) ready for them to claim for an extended period of time. Everyone is "settled" where they need to be in order to do what they need to do. It is time for me to settle in and focus. I will learn how to minister as a single woman because that is who I am now. I know it will not be easy, but I am not anxious about being alone. I know there is a learning curve. I imagine there will be days I enjoy and there will be days I simply survive. Things will be different because I choose to live, and living things are always changing.
"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord,
continue to live your lives in Him,
rooted and built up in Him,
strengthened in the faith as you were taught,
and overflowing with thankfulness.
Colossians 2:6&7
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is in the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and it is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7&8
