harmony

I just watched a video a of a friends' husband and daughter playing their guitars and singing together.
Both played the whole song, but it began with only dad singing.
It was beautiful.
When her daughter began to sing with him it became more beautiful even though she did not sing the same notes as he did.

Same song, different notes that compliment each other = harmony.

The same thing can work in the church.

Expecting every one to be the same limits the beauty.
Allowing each one to "sing the note" God has given them creates harmony.

Harmony means we can not all be singing the same note.

We need to realize that everyone who believes and obeys God is part of the church.

Whenever we encourage them to be who God created them to be, wherever they are, the music swells and becomes a sweet melody.
