quiet

"Quiet before the storm" is the kind of quiet there was around here before Sarah, Beth and their families came to visit for the holidays.

We had very few silent nights, but "night quiet" is what we experienced on those rare occasions when all of the kids were sleeping at the same time.

"Loud quiet" is what we enjoyed while the children played with no bickering.

"Hushed quiet" is what happened when the kids were watching movies.

"Thankful quiet" is what we rejoiced in when no one was suffering from the virus that was passed around.

"Too quiet" necessitated an investigation into what the kids were up to.

The quiet tonight is deafening now that they are all in their own homes.
