when Friday feels like a Monday

today was an unusual Friday
it has felt very much like a Monday...
(or several wrapped up in one)

it was one of those days that choosing to do the simple things
(like getting out of bed and managing to put one foot in front of the other)

was exercising courage

tonight was an unusual Friday night

a house full of friends talking and laughing 

as Skip-Bo is played and stories are told makes it feel like vacation
