the power of one

today it happened
my first spring flower,                   
a beautiful yellow daffodil,
bloomed in the front flower bed

I cannot decide 
if it looks lonely or brave 
standing there by itself
but without a doubt, 
seeing that blossom unfolded 
had an incredible positive impact on my heart and attitude

I wonder if we realize
the power each of us has
to make a difference in our own little corner of the world,
each time we allow God to grow us and we bloom where He has planted us

...even if we are the only one
