spring is "like a box of chocolates"

I know spring is a season of transition
there is going to be a mixture of warm days and cold days,
but this year it seems to be extreme

I mowed my lawn yesterday
this morning I was shocked when I opened the blinds
there was snow and when I went out to investigate



it appeared that there was a layer of hail underneath

I am thankful my lilacs and tulips didn't seem to suffer

this afternoon I heard a neighbor mowing his lawn

early this evening I saw snow flakes and as I watched them fall I thought,
"there are three good things about these flakes"

1. they are beautiful 
2. they caused me to stop and appreciate the beauty of the moment
3. it is April-if we get a bunch of them, they won't last long

Today I think we could substitute "spring" for "life"...
