Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon

it was another beautiful fall day
but what caught my attention wasn't the clouds
it was the moon at 5:32pm

It triggered a trip down memory lane.
I could hear Beth, Sarah and Deborah singing;
"Mr. Moon, Mr. Moon you're out too soon
the sun is still in the sky.
Go back to your bed and cover up your head
and wait til the day goes by."
which led to hearing Beth and Sarah sing
"Row, row, row your boat
gently down the stream
merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
life is full of dreams."

Wanting the day to last longer.
I get it.
I never corrected them when they sang the last line in Row Your Boat "wrong".
As a matter of fact I changed the way I sing it because they got it right.
Perspective is everything.
Oh how beautiful it is to see life through the eyes of a child.
I am thankful for memories that remind me of the truths my kids taught me.
