we are family

I love this group of young men

the game of soccer is what allows me to be part of their life

so to me soccer is more

much, much more

than just a game

we are family

and that makes every practice and every game worthwhile

in spite of sometimes less than ideal weather 

regardless of the scoreboard

 

why am I smiling?

because of where I am

because of who is behind me (and who was ahead of us)

because today is the first time since 2019 I was in a vehicle with part of my boys

Wednesday we play Montreat College at 6:15, then head back to Grayson

these are my girls

they left two hours before we did

so they were well ahead of us 

they play at 4 Wednesday, same place

I love them too
