to chat, sit in silence or enjoy a meal or beverage

if I am not, 

you are welcome to make yourself at home 

I'll gladly share my back porch and dogs

over the last couple of weeks I've had several drop bys

you might remember my praying mantis friends

and one of my son-in-laws bringing me salad and donuts

surprise visits are fun

I was minding my own business, reading last week

and had a cricket get up close and personal

today was such a beautiful day my office was outside

I placed my computer, soup and coffee on the small storage chest,

turned to sit in the rocker

and noticed a visitor that turned shy and hid under the seat:

do you see it?

it's there, in the top left of the picture, about 1/3 of the way down

it dropped to the ground and scurried away

spiders are not welcome for up close and personal visits

so I moved the furniture he took cover under and...

well, lets just say, he won't be making any other surprise visits

my second cup of coffee was invaded while I worked

this guy didn't make it either-

I hope he enjoyed his last dive and swim...

I guess I should be more specific,

it's almost always fun to be surprised,

and almost everyone is welcome at my house 

for a visit 

to enjoy the silence

to share a meal

or a beverage
