more than I bargained for
I went to the fieldhouse at KCU to pick up a few things this morning. At least I thought that was why I was drawn to go when I did. Driving through the parking I saw this:
not an unusual sight on a college campus with athletic teams. But as I drove past, I saw something else and circled back to snap a picture:
When I got home I went outside to put boxes in the trash can and to get my pups a Milkbone to help keep their teeth clean.
When I opened the treat container I noticed something that made my heart smile big
and my mind race with the truth that nature holds so many good reminders.
A praying mantis always encourages me to stop and pray.
The lilac bush still holds bonus flowers.
Some of the blossoms are spent.
The clippers were lying beside the dog treats,
so I picked them up to do some trimming.
When I got close I saw what I imagine to be a sibling to my bubble visitor.
I laughed and said "I hear You God, loud and clear".
Today's lesson is obvious: pray continually.
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."
