still or steel

I was sitting on my back porch enjoying an absolutely beautiful autumn day when
I found myself praying, over and over again, for God to give me a still heart.

While I was praying I "heard' still and steel and realized how much alike those words sound.

I want a still heart- one that can rest before Him and hear His voice.
I do not want a still heart that quits beating for Him.


I want a steel heart- one that won't be bent or swayed away from Him.
I do not want a steel heart that is not moldable.

Still and Steel- I want the best of both.
