and then came Saturday... 151/366
after surviving a confused Friday,
and in retrospect laughing over the ridiculousness of how it unfolded,
I welcomed Saturday dawning without the unease I awoke with Friday
beginning with a good morning text announcing a friends new grandson
receiving a face full of sunshine when I opened the curtains
feasting on the sight of a bright blue sky with a few scattered clouds
a spider scrambled to greet me first thing when I opened the cupboard
all I could do was shake my head as I immediately made a fist,
telling the intruder goodbye as I proceeded to smash it,
thinking: "today could be interesting too"
then went on about my business of making breakfast
started yogurt to use in smoothies
spent time alone with Jesus
talked almost two hours with Deborah on Facetime
read some fiction
savored a "perfect" late spring day with sunshine and mid seventies warmth
chatted with Sarah
texted with Jess
made a DQ run, no rain, for the $6 double with cheese meal
ate supper, saving the peanut butter sundae
pulled some weeds
trimmed the spent roses and did a little pruning of the bush
planted some seeds
enjoyed my ice cream as a reward for finishing yard work
took care of the yogurt that "cooked" all day
wrote this post
and am ending this evening thanking God for another day of life, lessons and love

"how sweet it is to be loved by You...thank you Father for making me Yours."
