breakfast, cravings, eggs and bacon 125/366
This is the text I woke up to this morning
and the conversation that ensued:
I figured maybe my friend was having the same kind of morning I was
and wanted to support her idea.
I also wondered how she knew,
from 140 miles away,
I have been thinking about bacon,
because I don't have any
and delivery was the only way I'd get any today.
She is a very unselfish friend.
Her reply "*for you" did not surprise me.
But after a moment I got concerned I might be missing something-
because she is also a friend who thinks outside the box.
I hurriedly got dressed and rushed downstairs.
Shew, she had not contacted a local restaurant to have breakfast delivered to my house
and I had not allowed the neighborhood cats to devour it.
A bowl of oatmeal or two eggs.
Those are my choices every morning.
This morning I decided to make oatmeal.
I have been toying with the idea of mixing things up.
Maybe fixing half the oatmeal and having a hard boiled egg as well.
But not today.
Today just oatmeal would suffice.
After I had put the water on to boil I received another text:
I checked the bench again.Empty.
So I went to the mailbox.
Found it!
A Cheryl's box.
Cheryl's makes some mighty tasty cookies.
I wondered if perhaps they also make cinnamon rolls.
Or danish.
It was something better.
Eggs.
The ones I have been craving.
I was sorely tempted to have oatmeal and eggs this morning after all!
But I decided to save these eggs for afternoon or evening treats.

Thank you Staci.
For so much more than the eggs.
