where is home?

it isn't so much an address 

as it is a knowing these things are true:

I am welcome

I am safe

I am valued

I am heard

I am seen

no, home isn't a particular place

it is particular people,

those who have left imprints on my mind and heart

home is where 

family memories are made

family memories are triggered

family memories are treasured

family memories are safeguarded

and family is defined by much more than shared DNA 

family is created and sustained by shared experiences and values 

be it a mansion or a tent, there is no place like home
