watching four of my "babies",

now known as the parentals,

playing together in my backyard

was a sweet sweet balm to my heart today

brothers pitching to sisters

sisters pitching to brothers

which turned into a multigenerational game

those under 20
against those over 20, 
I joined the game
instead of sitting on the porch watching
so there were three generations active in my backyard
it fed my heart
I need some ibuprofen, but it was so worth it, the old folks won

a storm rolled in
and playing ball in the rain was fun
until the wind picked up
we adjourned to the porch
to watch the rain fall, sideways

ending with a rainbow spanning the sky,
a reminder that God always keeps His promises
and that feeds my soul
