Kibbles and Bits musings 177/366
Kibbles and Bits
it's what I have been feeding the dogs
when I introduced it to them recently they ate every bite, immediately
which was unusual behavior
normally they sniff and walk away, uninterested
I fill their bowls late evening because they are night time eaters
and it's not unusual to find some food in their bowls in the morning
so I always check, first thing so I can put the leftovers away for the day
call me ungrateful,
but I don't appreciate the "gifts" left behind when birds perch on my porch furniture
lately I have been finding this when I go out:
I was going to call Andrew and Jonathan to ask if they'd been talking to the dogs
when they were younger it wasn't unusual to find the green stuff left on their plates
to be honest,
I am impressed by the dogs skills
how do they eat everything else but these bites?
I never throw away what they leave,
I just add to it when I refill their bowls
this morning every bite was gone
I just never know what I'll find
today the same weird thought kept coming to my mind:
if I were a dog
and kibbles and bits was the *fruit of the spirit
and if I could pick and choose,
self-control would be my "green" one...
"But the *fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Galatians 5:22-23
*The fruit of the spirit is not like a fruit salad. The easiest way I have found to explain it is: think of an orange. You can peel it and take the sections apart, but if if one is missing, it isn't complete. When the Spirit of God is alive and well in us, our lives will bear evidence of all of those things. And yes, some may be more dwarfed than others.
