there's a first time for everything

There is nothing earth shattering in this post,
just a note to myself and others whose lives have been turned upside down:
there are still new things to learn and do and experience
and when the time is right,
it's okay to go for it!

Sunday I bought a porch swing
Monday I pressure washed the house, porches, sidewalks, driveway 
            I had to ask the neighbor for help starting the machine
            he couldn't start it either
            he insisted on loaning me his-and I accepted the offer 
Tuesday was full of firsts-
            my morning began with a stress test 
            I didn't feel like I was falling off of the treadmill 
            the treadmill got faster and inclined-and I still stayed on
            I committed to new flooring and baseboards-no second guessing
            I voted without Bill's wise counsel 
            I found out where in the gym I was supposed to go to vote
            I bought two large DQ Blizzards for myself-ate one, froze one
            the Candy Cane Oreo Blizzard was a new experience I will repeat
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and the days following-
we shall see what they hold...
there are lots of options out there
perhaps Wednesday I will get those two gallons of paint to experiment with...
