roots matter

this may remind you of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree

but if you know me
you will see what it really is

it is alive
it is hope
it is a step 
it is a victory
it is a sign of healing
it is in my home because of love
it will be a surprise to my children 

we have never had a live Christmas tree
a cut one, yes, but not one that can continue to grow
this year a Norfolk Island Pine has me thinking about life and roots

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, 

rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith,

 just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving."
