DST- where's that extra hour? 68/366

HELP!
I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Twice a year I wrestle the same question.
Where is that extra hour of daylight that is promised with Daylight Savings TIme?
I can never find it!
Today I did some research rather continue to wonder.
I googled sunrise and sunset times in Grayson for the month of March.
March 1-7 there have been just over 2 minutes added to every days "daylength".
Guess what.
March 7 to March 8, the time DST happened, there were just over 2 minutes added.
I checked tomorrow and the rest of the month, just to see if maybe there was a delivery delay.
Nope. 
Each day this month just over 2 minutes is added.
I decided it would be wise to check October when time DST happens again.
Guess what.
I can't find the extra hour there either.
Every day in October we lose just over 2 minutes of daylength per day.

I guess changing clock time doesn't really save any daylight after all.
