trusting, and working the process 72/366

In late January three things happened within days of one another.
  • I was asked to join a small group (turned out to be a Leadership Book Club).
  • I was asked to be on the Women's Ministry Team at KCU.
  • And I was asked to speak at this event:

I was hesitant about the first two commitments because the only one of the three I have any experience with is speaking at Women's events. And in my experience, when I agree to do that, the enemy goes into full on attack mode, especially testing me with the subject matter. Endure?  And starting two "leadership" things at the same time? I knew, if I was going to do this and do it well, I would need help, reinforcements. So I asked my prayer warriors to go to battle with and for me. Two of them checked on me today. And I had to tell them both, I am in a good place. There is a weird, but welcome thing going on in my life right now that I can't explain. I am in a season of rest. Confidence. Boldness. Preparedness. Life feels right.

Wednesday March 4, on my way home from CIncinnati I stopped at the church and circled it, 7 times, praying as I walked. For the event. For the women who will be coming. For their families. For the Leadership and Pastor and families of the church. For their impact on their neighbors. For the enemy to be bound from disrupting what God has planned for Saturday and beyond. It was a bold time of prayer, but one I knew was necessary.

Getting ready has been a process.
It always is.
I am excited for Saturday.

copies of keynote presentation are printed out,
powerpoint completed,
breakout session prepared

These last two pictures  might look like an unorganized  mess, but it isn't. This is what the final portion of the process looks like for me, everytime. This is actually more tame than normal.

props,
object lessons,
illustrations, gathered
the only thing left to do:
pack them up and load it all in the car

By Friday afternoon this will be a book.
The enemy tried to throw a fiery dart to shut down this project-
it was deflected.
If you'd like to join us in ministry
and cover this event with prayer,
we would appreciate the support and back up!
I am of the firm belief,
you can never have too many prayer warriors!
