know your why 76/366

I did not want to walk today.
I did not have even the slightest desire.
But I did.
Why?
Because I knew to continue working toward good health, I needed to walk.
I found a penny on my first pass through the parking lot,
dear tracks where I didn't expect them and another penny the second time.
Reminders that God often shows up where I least expect to see Him,
and "In Him (God) I trust"

"I love the Lord, because He hears my voice and my supplications.
Because He has inclined His ear to me,
therefore I shall call upon Him as long as I live."
Psalm 116:1-2

A few weeks ago I read and marked Psalm 116:1-2.
Again.
I take special note of it every single time I read it.

I've been holding onto it tightly,
in the deep recesses of my heart and mind,
an encouragement and reminder,
a concise explaination of my why.
I do not deserve Him.

He loves me anyway.
Lavishly.
Completely.
Tonight I cannot help but share this verse and several others.
I pray you know Him too.
And if I can help in anyway, please message me.
In these times of uncertainty, knowing our why is more important than ever.

"For while we were still helpless,
at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will hardly die for a righteous man;
though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us,
in that while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us."
Romans 5:6-8

"...we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing; to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life..."
from 2 Corinthians 2:15-16

"Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
John 5:24

"This is eternal life,
that they may know You,
the only true God,
and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
John 17:3

"For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all died; and He died for all, so that they who live might no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf...Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation... Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." from 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:14-19
"Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think,
according to the power that works within us,
to Him be the glory in the church
and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever.
 Amen."
Ephesians 3:20-21
