it's scary out there 91/366

coronavirusit's scary out there
the temptation to hide away or bury my head in the sand until it's all over is strong
the need to remain engaged so I don't wither away or suffocate is stronger
so I practice social distancing
I go for walks and cross the street when I need to
I wash my hands a lot and use Clorox wipes when and where needed
I stalk online buying sites for necessities that have been hoarded

it's scary out there
the desire to gather all my babies in one place is almost suffocating at times
the knowledge that I cannot is a struggle
so I practice trusting them to God's care
I pray for them as individuals and as families
I search for activities I can send them to help entertain the kiddos
we check on one another and share funny situations

it's scary out there
the temptation to overthink things is real
the need to remain engaged in healthy thought patterns is more real
so I keep running to Jesus
laying myself and my loved ones before Him
praying for those who have no choice but to be out and about
praying about those who are out and about without thought or concern for others

it's scary out there
the enemy we are facing, COVID-19, is real and stealthy and strong
let's all do our part to be smart,
practice good hygiene, social distancing, staying home
let's respect and follow the rules that are in place to protect all of us
because when that happens,
it becomes less scary out there
