Ladies Guild

a few months ago Sarah asked if I would come share with her Ladies Guild
I agreed,
excited to spend time with her and her family
looking forward to meeting some new women,
women who have accepted her in as family

I had it all planned
an appropriate passage picked out
helpful hints thought out
completely prepared 
until 24 hours before "go time"

a nudge
a gentle whisper
"share your heart"
"But, Lord, I already have this other worked out"
"share your heart"

wrestling 
questioning
"Are you sure? I will cry."
"share your heart"
so I did share and I did cry

tonight I am exhausted
but it is a good tired
a strangely rest filled tired,
not because it went well,
but because I chose to walk in obedience
