sunny side up

 

I made a good life choice this morning:

sunny side up

with gluten free toast to dip in the yolk,

three slices of bacon

a cup of coffee with a side of caramel syrup and a dab of  half and half 

it's been awhile

usually it's scrambled, 

because it's easy and quick,

no toast, because I'm trying to limit gluten and I'm a cheapskate-

gluten free bread is expensive, but I decided last shopping trip I was worth it 

bacon and coffee

the difference seemingly inconsequential choices can make is astounding

because I chose to cook my eggs over easy this morning

it led me to decide to look view today "sunny side up",

regardless of what came my way

when gloomy arrows of frustration and discouragement were shot my way

I was able to deflect them with praise and thanksgiving

yep, sunny side up is a great life choice
