significance
I had knee surgery to repair my meniscus Wednesday August 20.
Bill helped me move this solid concrete bird bath,
actually he did most of the moving for me,
the night before.
On the way home from surgery we stopped at the pharmacy.
Bill bought me this roll of Lifesavers-
a favorite flavor and comfort food since I was a child.
It is the last gift he bought me.
Bill was the one who filled the q-tip holder 99% of the time.
I took this picture Saturday August 30-
because I realized that now I will have to fill it every time.
My life was full of "little things" Bill did to let me know he loved me.
Making sure the car was filled with gas.
Praying with me every morning before he went to work.
Taco Bell meal deals for lunch when I wanted it.
Washing dishes.
Taking the trash cans to the curb.
Holding my hand when we walked.
The list is endless.
"Little" things hold great significance.
Don't take them for granted.
Take time to do little things for those you love-
don't wait until you can do something "big".
Take time to say thank you
for the "little" things others do for you
to say I love you.
Trust me, little things can make a huge difference.
The Lil things are so important momma D. I will pray that God help you find peace with those Lil things.....
ReplyDeleteI will always remember and appreciate Bill as friend, co-worker, supervisor, teacher and chapel speaker, as he filled so much of our lives. One special occasion I will treasure was the time he addressed one KCU chapel service and referenced a training experience from his days as a banking representative, the class was being trained to recognize the genuine currency from the counterfeit. He related that they were given genuine bills in order to handle and sense the texture of the true. It was easier to recognize that Bill was the REAL item, all you had to do was be in his presence to realize that he was of much more value than the currency that he handled. He has been missed the year that we have been away from Grayson, and will now be sorely missed but with the sure knowledge that in Glory there will be renewal of a valued relationship with him.
