no flowers
no chocolates

but oh what priceless gifts I received today

more precious than gold?
a visit with one of my soccer daughters, sharing life "stuff",
ending with prayer for one another

more beautiful than any bouquet?
a handmade valentine, a glittery picture from one of my granddaughters, dinner with Ruth's family

much sweeter than candy?
a photo Ruth took of Xavier helping me yesterday, messages telling me I am loved, memories  

every day I miss Bill and hearing him say "I love you" 
but knowing I am so loved and cared for by others every day
takes part of the sting away today

we can focus on what we miss or we can concentrate on what we have...
