Beloved

The One who created and sustains the universe
loves me,
knows my name,
faithfully provides everything I need,
and has patiently wooed and pursued me to make me His own.

I am one of His beloved.

That is mind boggling.

Do I still feel lonely?
sometimes
Do I still have pain?
yes
Do I still have moments of doubt?
assuredly
Do I still wonder?
occasionally
Do I ever feel weak?
every day
Do I ever have questions?
definitely
Do I ever feel overwhelmed?
yep
Therefore I call this to mind:

The One who created and sustains the universe

It is well with my soul because He has made it so.

This truth makes life worth living and death not a threat.
