in diagnosis limbo

waiting can be frustrating
uncertainty can be unsettling
not knowing what lies ahead can be frightening
preparing for "the worst" because it is wise
all the while hoping for the best because it is your heart's desire

it is one thing when you are the patient
it is quite another when it is your child
no what matter their age,
walking this road with them
works a parent's heart like nothing else

if you are a Jesus follower,
it can drive you to your knees and deepen your prayer life
it gives you opportunities to practice what you've preached
it exposes weaknesses and unveils strengths
it shows where your faith lies or if your faith has been lies

"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds,  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."
James 1:2-4
