today we celebrated her 16th birthday

where did the years in between go?

I remember celebrating my 16th birthday

that seems a lifetime ago and yet no so long ago

in a few months we will celebrate my 61st

where in the world did all those years in between go

the older I get the quicker time seems to pass

and the quicker time flies

the more I cherish moments and memories
